Hong Kong Shelves Controversial Lantau Reclamation

As foreshadowed by comments from some government officials earlier this year, suspension of the Lantau Tomorrow project has now been confirmed with no timetable for commencement at this time. Whilst the EIA has been completed, it has not been published for review. With a budget deficit and the potential impact on land prices, the government will instead focus on the ongoing Northern Metropolis project.
