Qianhai Link Design Contract Awarded

Back in October last year, Hong Kong’s Chief Secretary announced six major infrastructure projects in his policy address, signalling that infrastructure development was to be a major driver for Hong Kong’s post-COVID economic recovery. One of those projects, the Hong Kong Shenzhen Western Rail Link between Hung Shui Kiu and Qianhai took a step forward today with the award of the engineering services contract to Atkins. Atkins will undertake the second stage study for the project which is expected to be complete in the middle of 2024. The client is The Planning and Natural Resources Bureau of the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government.
