MTR begins trial operations for East Rail Line cross-harbour extension

Trial operations begin on the cross harbour portion of MTR’s new Shatin Central line ahead of opening in the middle of this year – construction was a massive undertaking with some very challenging individual projects. This new line will form a new North South Line for Hong Kong to complement the East-West Tuen Ma Line officially opened last year. CDC have been assisting contractors on several of the SCL projects throughout construction.
