About this Project
CDC provided contractual advice, claims management and claims preparation to the international joint venture contractor for the project. The project comprises a high-level cable stayed bridge with two 150m tall towers supporting a 300m main span over the entrance to the Port of Long Beach California, two 500m backspans and 900m approach viaducts and will carry 15% of all goods coming into the USA. The bridge was constructed under a design and build contract. CDC provided support to the project in relation to identifying, developing and drafting technical claims against the Client which were settled in DAB hearings and also provided support to the JV in a related subcontract mediation.
