About this Project
The project comprised construction and fitting out of two five storey school blocks and associated campus works undertaken on a Target Cost contract. Following completion of the works, a dispute arose as to the liability for alleged defects in the works.
CDC were appointed by the contractor to prepare a counterclaim in relation to issues arising during the project period and reviewing the client’s counter claim for alleged defects. CDC prepared a counter-claim for the contractor which created the conditions for a negotiated settlement to be agreed between the parties.
